Prospective Students
We are currently recruiting our first cohort of PhD students, with the first cohort starting in the 2026/27 academic year.
All applicants must have or expect to obtain a first-class or second-class honours degree, or equivalent, in a relevant subject OR have or expect to obtain a Master’s degree.
The PhD studentships are fully funded for 4 years and include both tuition fees and stipends (tax-free).
Please note that only home* students are eligible to apply.
* Students must ordinarily resident in the UK and eligible for home fees (i.e. either “Home or Scotland” or “Rest of the UK” as defined at https://www.gla.ac.uk/undergraduate/fees/policies/feestatus/; note that Irish nationals are treated like UK nationals but must be ordinarily resident in the UK for this Scholarship)
